We are now deep into the ski season here in Summit and the slopes are waiting for your visit!
Some of us find a day of skiing enough; however, a select few would like to extend the day and take advantage of the night skiing offered at Keystone.
If night skiing is in you plan, there are a few safety issues to consider. First of all , remember to dress warmly! The bright sun that might add warmth to your day will be long gone when you are skiing under the lights. Prepare for the cold. As always, layering is important. In addition, plan to ski with a buddy. Having someone know where you are is very important at night!
Keystone sets a schedule for night skiing, but it is always important to check the schedule as weather and conditions caused by weather can quickly change the times and dates of night skiing. The following schedule is a great bet…but please check the weather before setting out for a night on the slopes.
Night skiing in January and February will be available Wednesday - Sundays and everyday March 2nd - 27th.
In addition to night skiing, The Tubing Hill at Adventure Point is also offering some night tubing. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 970-496-4386. Sessions are $33.00 per hour. Participants must be 42 inches tall. River Run and Peru Express run until 8:00 PM weather permitting. For those of you looking for a completely unique riding experience, we can’t recommend night skiing enough. Once the moon is up, the connection between you and the mountain is enhanced and you may just have the ride of your life.
