Ice Skating at Dercum Square in River Run Village

At the Dercum Square Ice Rink skate on 7,200 square feet of zamboni smoothed ice. The rink is surrounded by beautiful views of the mountains, and is easily accessible from the village or free Keystone Shuttle. If you need a break from skating or to warm up, there is an outdoor gas fireplace and playground. If a hot cocoa or coffee is what you need to warm your bones; Starbucks and Ink Spot Café are located just outside the breezeway at The Buffalo Lodge in the village.

Late November – Mid- April: weather dependant.

Hours of Operations: 11:00AM - 8:00 PM

Rental Prices: Adult $ 15; Children 12 and under $10. Access to the rink is free with skate rental.

Location: The ice rink is located at the entrance to River Run Village. This is also the main stop for the Keystone shuttle service and Summit Stage. The Buffalo and Dakota Lodges are the most convenient lodging locations to the Ice Rink.

Saturdays and Sundays: Enjoy music from a live DJ every weekend from 2:00 – 5:00. The DJ also interacts with the crowd by offering trivia, games, and prizes.

Kidtopia Events: Ripperoo’s Village Parade starts Saturdays at 4:00 at the Kid’s Ski School next to the gondola and ends at the ice rink with free cookie hour. Cookie hour is not only on Saturday, but every day of the week at 4:00 at the ice rink.

Outdoor Ice Skating on the Lake at Lakeside Village

The lake at Keystone Resort in Lakeside Village is the largest zamboni maintained outdoor lake in North America boasting 5 acres of skating area. Bring the whole family, that special someone, or your own hockey team. Join in on weekly events, start a pick up hockey game, enjoy the holiday lights and music, or just glide around for fun. The Adventure Point Lodge serves concessions and hot cocoa for you to warm up with or take a break. Here you will also find your purchase point for rentals as well as arcade games.

Skate Rental Pricing:

Adult: $10

Hockey and Other Equipment Rental:
Hockey sticks and pucks available for $5 and $3; hockey boards are rented by the hour for $150.Trainers, stabilizers, and sleds are available for $3-$5. Helmets are free if available. 

Waiver: All children under 17 require a waiver signed by parent/guardian before participating.

Activities:

Saturday Afternoon Skate with Frosty: Join frosty and friends for a fun skate every Saturday from 2:00 – 3:00

Glowbug Modays: Get your free glow stick and skate the lake with color every Wednesday January 7th through March.

Free Figure Skating Clinic: Every Wednesday from January 7th to early March join a free skill and confidence building figure skating instruction session. Angie Miske, a two time national champion will lead all ages 5 and up. Reservations required, skates and admission not included.
