Late Summer Cycling in Summit CountySummit County is a fantastic place to visit in August. Within the heart of the county there is an interconnecting system of wide paved paths for walking, bike riding, and running.
This trail system connects the resort towns of Keystone, Dillon, Frisco, Silverthorne, Breckenridge and the ski area of Copper Mountain. There are many place to access the trails and many of our properties offer the trail system within the immediate neighborhood. The trails offer a great family activity if you want to get the kids on bikes but keep away from traffic. For spectacular views of the sailboats on Dillon Reservoir against the backdrop of the peaks of the Ten Mile Range ride the trail from Keystone to Dillon. This trail offers a small elevation gain and covers about 5 miles. For a bit more of a workout try the Keystone to Montezumza ride which Covers 11 miles out and back with a 900 feet elevation gain. Access the trail in Keystone and head toward the east.
All the trails on the Summit Recreation path are marked with directional signs so no worries about getting lost or confused. Walk Ride Colorado provides a great overview of the entire trail system of Summit County.
