Key to the Rockies is now LinkedIn.
Do you know about
LinkedIn? It is a business oriented social networking site. With over 75 million registered users spanning across 200 countries, you are bound to make a valuable connection!
The purpose of the site is to allow registered users to maintain a list of contact details of people they know and trust in business. These people are called connections. Connections can be used to find jobs, people, and business opportunities recommended by someone on their contact network. Also, the connections allow employers to list jobs, job seekers can apply for jobs, and review the profile of hiring managers, etc.
You could say, it's a lot like a professional Facebook. And, it is the best of it's kind. It's competitors, Viadeo and Xing together barely have enough members to equal half of LinkedIn's registered members.
LinkedIn also allows users to research companies with which they may be interested in working. When typing the name of a given company in the search box, statistics about the company are provided. These may include the ratio of female to male employees, the percentage of the most common titles/positions held within the company, the location of the company's headquarters and offices, or a list of present and former employees
Key to the Rockies is very excited to be LinkedIn. Now, it's your turn to join! Don't forget to make your connection with Key to the Rockies!

"Little remained of Arapahoe Basin's Exhibition chairlift Monday afternoon, as a K-Max helicopter soared overhead, carrying the lift's 5,000-pound towers from their pads and depositing them in the Early Riser parking lot."
A lot has been going on at Arapahoe Basin this summer. Crews removed the old chairlift in order to make room for the ski area's newest lift — the Black Mountain Express, a high-speed quad that will bring skiers and riders from the base area to mid-mountain.
A-Basin fans picked up 110 of Exo's 118 chairs, for which they paid $450 apiece. The chairs sold out only seven minutes after they went on sale this past spring. The ski area reserved eight of the chairs to donate to charity auctions by local nonprofits.
The Black Mountain Express is almost ready for it's big unveiling! A-Basin officials are planning to unveil the new lift to the public on August 28th with a community barbecue! We hope to see you there!

Even though it's just July, snow is already on our minds here in Summit County! Keystone recently struck a deal with Denver Water to secure the slopes being covered in blankets of white throughout early-season snow making! The resort relies on pumping as much as 1,500 acre feet of water from the Roberts Tunnel each season between September 1st and March 31st. Roberts Tunnel is owned by Denver Water.
That part, isn't whats out of the ordinary. This part is:
Denver water had scheduled necessary repairs to start this November and last all the way through April, 2011. The tunnel is 50 years old and requires repairs that must occur while the tunnel is drained. This would have made the water unavailable for Keystone throughout the entire season. Thankfully, Denver water agreed to delay the start date of construction until December 15th in order to give Keystone time to be able to provide quality ski conditions by the holidays!
If that isn't the
Holiday spirit, then I don't know what is!
